WSBK Officials Released 2020 Revised Schedule

The WSBK (World Superbike Championship) has released an 8 round provisional revised schedule after a postponement of 2020 season due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The World Superbike Championship was one of the few motorsports racing events which completed their first race earlier to this season before the coronavirus pandemic. After the opening round in Australia the world into lockdown.

At first planned to travel to Qatar seven days after MotoGp on March 15th, this was relinquished after the MotoGp event was canceled.

When MotoGp set its scheduled opening date as 19 July with two races in Jerez, the WSBK round two was probably scheduled for 2nd August at the Spanish venue. The date remains in place before the WSBK travels to the Algarve in Portugal after one week.

The six races will be held at Aragon with two successive rounds from 28-30 August and 4-6 September 2020, The race of Spain will be held at Catalunya from 18-20 September prior to going to France on 2-4 October 2020.

Depending on what is then possible globally in terms of blocking measures, World Superbike expects to play in Argentina after a one week from 9-11 October at Villicum racetrack where the season finale was originally supposed to take place.

On 6-8 November 2020, the Misano race will be held, this race and Argentia race are confirmed on the SBK provisional schedule.
